Facebook Messenger is an instant messaging app developed by Facebook for their users to exchange messages instantly with friends. While this application often runs smoothly it can occasionally become unresponsive or idle. If you're facing a Facebookmessenger is not connected issue, here are some potential solutions.
Check Your Internet Connection
Make sure your device is well connected to the internet. This may be also one of the reasons when the Facebook messenger is not runningproperly on your Android device.
Restart Messenger
If the FB Messenger app seems idle, all you need to do is to click the home button twice, view the list of apps, find Messenger and swipe up to close it. The start it again.
Check That Your App Is Up-To-Date
Go to the App Store and check if any updates for Facebook Messenger are available. If you're using an older version then update it to the latest version.
Reinstall the Messenger App
Find the Facebook Messenger icon on the Home screen of your device. Click and hold it until an X appears on the screen. Press the X to delete the app from your device, then go to the App Store and install it again.
Restart Your Device
No matter which Android device you own, a restart is always a good option when something like this occurs. Press and hold the sleep button then activate the slider to turn your device off. Restart and run Messenger again.
Update your OS
Check if a newer version of your device's operating system is out. If it is, download it and update.

I've got a LAN in my home/office with 5 machines now running Win 10 and I've not been able to transfer files between them due to 'permission problems'. These were all running Win 7 and sharing files with no problems but now I'm blocked. I've made every 'advanced' change I can think of to networking and sharing screens and to firewall screens. The machines can see each other in File Explorer but 'access denied' on transferring anything but vanilla homegroup folders. Anybody got some insights on 'permissions' to share? I sure need help. Many thanks!
