Will Win 2000 Pro Run Nt4 Software
RSHUT PRO v.2.9.2 RSHUT PRO is a system shutdown utility for Windows (/NT4/Me/XP and 2000/2003 Server) that allows quickly and automatically shutdown and wake up your computer, remote computers in your home LAN domain/workgroup or large corporate network. I am now starting to work with the 'Windows NT 4 Workstation'. I have freed up a dedicated partition for it on my home-PC (which I will then operate in Dual-Boot with my Windows95 partition, using the Boot-Manager of Partition Magic 3.0). However, when setting up NT4 at work, I had already to learn, that NT 4 is really different and has now only the pretty looks in common with Windows95.

shutgui will do this, use the kill switch with it..also you may want to script in a kill command from the reskit..ie
rkill /nkill boxname servername (that you need to kill)
would go something like this:
rkill /install boxname
rkill /nkill boxname servicename
rkill /nkill boxname servicename (cont.for each)...
then the shutgui command here.
Note, I would list all services that are giving you problems, then kill them remote on each one..(all machines reguardless if they are giving errors).
note this can also be used with your shutdown.exe dame switches, just do the rkill prior to trying this, ,that way you won't fail with the opsys..this can kill them..also rem that shutgui has a kill all feature, that will allow it to kill anything that is still open after the rkill..good luck-Al

If you don't want a gui at all you can use shutdown.exe from the same reskit.
The /c option provides for forcing to close applications and you can also specify reboots etc.
An addition to the kill command in the previous answer might be to use 'pskill' from sysinternals (http://www.sysinternals.com)

Original Title: CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH A COPY OR A PLACE WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL
1.Can someone please help me with a copy or place where I can download 'Windows 2000 Professional.
2.My PC came out with the program installed and later on Windows XP Professional SP3 was installed and the two systems functioned very well and without any problems.
3.Not long ago Windows 2000 Professional could not start because the file “WINNTSystem32CONFIGSystemced” was missing or corrupt.
4.The two CD s that came out with the PC are missing and I have search everywhere, turning my storeroom upside down and inside out, but I cannot find them.
5.I still have the Product Key Number (hoping it will work with the copy) and it is still clearly visible on the Sticker/ Label or rather the “Certificate Of Authenticity” as this was a true copy of Microsoft product.
6.So please good people help me to re-install this program on my PC so as to let my PC (MY OLD FRIEND) retire with both systems running when Microsoft support come to an end for Windows XP by next year.
7.I am also a retired person desperate to have this program re-install on my PC and your help will mean a lot to me.
