Windows 10 Taskbar Empty
I logged onto my laptop this morning and the taskbar is empty (excluding the 'windows' icon on the left and the 'notifications' icon on the right, which neither work when trying to click on). The closest answer I read was to press the 'windows' key and the 'I' button but when I did, nothing happened. (yes, the taskbar is not locked). Fix: Windows 10 Taskbar Icons Missing If the issue is with your Computer or a Laptop you should try using Reimage Plus which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files. This works in most cases, where the issue is originated due to a system corruption.
I'll pre-empt any dupe close votes on this related question by stating that as you see below the issue is different as the menu is empty not just 'missing' items and as far as I'm aware this only happens on the sub context menus on the taskbar.
Windows 10 Taskbar Search
This is better illustrated than described so see the below image of the issue: Dlt 19 star wars.
As you can see the context menu of the context menu on the application is completely empty for the item on the taskbar.
Is there a way to fix this?
It's worth noting that this happens with items that are pinned to the taskbar as well as ones that are not.
This is running Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 1803, OS Build 17134.590 but has been happening for at least a year through various updates.
I have also gone to a new user as we moved to a new domain and the problem still persists.
